Incoterms® rules are a set of standards recognised and used all over the world to facilitate the delivery of goods
Governed and maintained by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) the terms provide a common language under which vendors, buyers and freight services can understand costs, risks and liability for product at each step in its journey. Incoterms® are a vital part of international trade and anyone importing or exporting should make themselves familiar with at least the basics.
The chances are, if you’re shipping internationally, you’re using Incoterms® – sometimes without even knowing it – but do you know your DPU from your DAP and your DDP? Your FAS from your FOB?
