Government grants for customs training

Government grants for customs training

Up to £2,250 per trainee to cover customs declaration courses

Companies that have until now sold and bought from Europe will have to learn or understand the rules of export and import.

International trade is dynamic, exhilarating and at times plainly confusing for the uninitiated. There is a raft of obligations with regards customs declarations, preference and tariffs and that is before you even consider the implications of any trade wars that seem imminent.  Clearly there is a lot to be learnt so we at International Trade Matters are delighted to note that Grant funding from HM Government has been reinstated until 31st January 2021.

However, funds are limited so companies that wish to learn how to trade internationally need to be agile right now as we are coming out of lockdown.

The countdown to final Brexit is on, funding is limited, time is limited, there is no time to prevaricate.

International Trade Matters can:

  • Provide bespoke training eligible for support.
  • Deliver excellent, accredited courses via local Chambers of Commerce.
  • Mix and match to suit your requirements.

To apply, your business must either complete customs declarations for yourself or someone else (or intend to in the future) and you must import from or export to the EU.

The grant available from the UK Government will give you up to 100% of the cost of training for your employees, up to a limit of £2,250 per trainee.
