Join East Midlands Chamber for a Lithium Battery Awareness 3 Day Course starting on the 27th November at their offices in Chesterfield.
International law requires that all staff involved in the shipping, packing, documentation, handling or carriage of Lithium Batteries by Air must complete a comprehensive training course approved by the appropriate national competent authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) under the Air Navigation Order (Dangerous Goods Regulations).
The Lithium Battery by Air course is fully approved by the CAA for shippers, freight agents. The instructors have the practical and commercial expertise and hold the required approvals from the CAA covering the subject knowledge, course presentation and presentation skills. The Lithium Batteries by Air courses are based on International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations.
When attending this course the delegate is required to bring their own copy of the IATA books:
