Trade Mission to Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, 23 – 27 April 2018.
The Trade Mission is being run in conjunction with the Regional Government of Tatarstan and we are working closely with the British Embassy in Moscow, the Russian Embassy and the Russian Trade Delegation in London to ensure maximum value for participants.
Tatarstan is located in the centre of the largest industrial region of the Russian Federation and currently offers some excellent opportunities for British exporters in many fields including IT, finance, logistics, tourism and, with its large Muslim population, Halal goods and services. Tatarstan has embarked on an ambitious investment programme aimed at diversifying the economy and developing private enterprise and a skilled entrepreneurial workforce. This is best evidenced by Innopolis, a hi-tech city/hub that has been built near Kazan and is the largest of its kind in Russia. Innopolis is situated in a special economic zone that has been designed and constructed specifically to encourage IT and high-tech industries (microelectronics, nanotechnologies, robotics and alternative energy sources etc) to locate there.
An initial programme been drafted and is viewable below, along with several other information documents. The focus will be on meeting potential business partners. Costs will be partly underwritten by the Government of Tatarstan. The estimated cost per person will be in the region of £1500 and would include international and internal flights, visas and accommodation in Moscow and Kazan. Although the focus will be on Kazan, the Trade Mission will also include a networking opportunity in Moscow.
This Trade Mission is very timely as it coincides with the growing interest in Russia as an investment destination in the run up to the Football World Cup.
